[edit]Two topics I would like to see covered in the Conscience article:
- Can conscience be coerced?
- Is there some objective sense in which somone's conscience may be wrong (as opposed to just different)?

Do you have any references for this article? Anything related to his travels to this supposed place called "Poo"? — BRIAN0918 • 2005-12-10 22:03
- I am travelling right now and obtained the information from a pamphlet published by the Picpus Fathers. When I return I will cite the pamphlet. In the meantime, I've linked a German article that essentially presents some of the information in the article. Aloysius Patacsil 05:54, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Pio Cardinal Taofinu'u
[edit]In true Wikipedia style there are now two pages (since 20/01/06) on the late cardinal - Pio Cardinal Taofinu'u and Pio Cardinal Taofinuu - the difference being the appostrophe (or lack thereof). Rahter than straight out redirect from the latter to the former, I have incorporated some of the latter's text into the former (including the Saomoan quote). This is because I respect the work of other Wikipedians and do not want to redirect the page with out giving you some warning first. If you could just insert the redirect code on the page some time reasonably soon that'd be great.Tobit 11:10, 22 January 2006 (UTC) Cheers

Translation
[edit]Hi! I'm looking for a translation into hawaian for wikipedia babel of the catalan wikipedia. The required sentence is:
This user does not understand Hawaian (or understands it with considerable difficulty).
If it's possible, write "does not understadn" and "Hawaian" this way
Thank you. Gangleri2001 (Talk to me)
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Joseph Bukoski, III. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Please do not use this template. There will be major works to take place on template pursuant to this closed discussion.
Thank you for your contributions to wikipedia. I noticed that in one of your recent edits you introduced one or more internal links that inappropriately targeted non-existent articles. Articles that will never be created or are not relevant to the article should not be linked. Please see Wikipedia:Only make links that are relevant to the context for more information regarding what should and shouldn't be linked in articles. --Hemlock Martinis 05:48, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Untagged image
[edit]An image you uploaded, Image:Bishop Silva Crest.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 16:36, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Clergy
[edit]I've nominated Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Clergy, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Clergy satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Clergy and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Clergy during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.RJASE1 Talk 09:05, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Necrology
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu - Necrology, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Replaceable fair use Image:SILVA.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:SILVA.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hekerui (talk) 22:30, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Aloysius Patacsil! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 290 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Jorge María Mejía - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Lane K. Akiona - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Lane K. Akiona has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not notable it appears. Nothing here seems to indicate anything more than a typical cleric.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Scott Mac 20:14, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
The article George DeCosta has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Insufficent coverage to support a verifiable article, let alone meet the biographical or general notability guidelines. No non-mirror coverage to be found from a Google search, and no coverage whatsoever in Google News.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

The article Anselm Ernest Gouveia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- While I am sure he was notable for the people that he served in his parishes, he does not seem to meet Wikipedia's wider notability guidelines.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Catholic-Hierarchy.org
[edit]Hello. I noticed that you have edited a number of articles on Catholicism. A discussion is taking place as to whether the website Catholic-Hierarchy.org is a reliable source that can be utilized on Wikipedia or whether all references and information derived from it should be deleted. This topic is currently being discussed at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard [1]. As the website's removal as a reference will affect several thousand Wikipedia articles, I believe that the broadest range of opinions should be obtained before action is taken. Please contribute if interested.Patapsco913 (talk) 22:07, 3 February 2016 (UTC)
